What is the BRAINS Conceptual Chemistry Benchmarking Examination (CCBE)?
It's a 4-hour examination covering foundational concepts in Chemistry. These concepts form the bases of understanding higher chemistry subjects.
How much is the test fee?
Onsite examinees get the test FREE of charge, but have to pay a P150 deposit, REFUNDABLE IF THEY SHOW UP AS SCHEDULED. The deposit is not refundable in case of no-shows.
Online examinees pay a subsidized rate of P250 for the exam platform provider. This is NEITHER REFUNDABLE NOR TRANSFERABLE.

What rules are used in the administration of the CCBE?
We strictly apply Board exam rules, including the confidentiality clause. The F2F rules are modified for the same effect for the ONLINE version.
Is the CCBE online or onsite?
Students may choose online or onsite testing.
Onsite venue is the Ang Bahay ng Alumni at UP Diliman.
The online exam requires a secure and quiet location for the examinee.
What do I need to prepare to register?
You will need to upload/submit
1. proof of payment of test fee
2. a signed copy of the BRAINS Simulated Exam Undertaking, downloaded from here for online and here for onsite exam.
3. scanned copy of your valid ID or school ID with student number or proof of your current year level -- a copy of your current matriculation papers will suffice.

How do I pay?
You may visit us at our Bahay ng Alumni - UPDiliman office and pay in cash or check payable to BRAINS Training and Review Corporation. Or, you may pay via bank transfer from your bank or e-wallet.
What are the exam dates?
You may choose among morning and afternoon sessions of these dates:
March 8, 15, 22, 29, April 5 and 12.
The discussion is scheduled one week after, on Sundays.
When can I register?
We have very limited slots per batch. Enrollment is on a first come first served basis. .
Who may take the BRAINS CCBE?
BS Chemistry and BS Chemical Engineering students who expect to graduate this academic year may take the CCBE.
Why should I take the CCBE?
Planning your preparation for the Board exams needs information on your baseline level of knowledge. Mastery of the fundamental concepts is a major factor when studying the higher subjects. If you find that you have that mastery, you can proceed with studying higher subjects. If not, then you can, and should, start from the basics.
What if I cancel my registration?
All deposits and/or fees paid become non-refundable.
Do I get test results?
Yes, results are released two (2) days after the last day of examination
Do I get a copy of the exam?
No.

We have a pre-recorded discussion of the questions. Students who take the exam are welcome to attend this class for FREE, provided no recording of the session is done by anyone in any manner.
